So many people have been asking me lately about building and strengthening the core. There are many great exercises available to do that and if you stop by my office, I can photo-copy and demonstrate those exercises for you. One of the main things that you can do right now is: While you are sitting, standing or walking, hold the abdominal muscles tight. Tight does not me sucking in the belly, it means holding it tight as if someone were about to punch you in the stomach at any moment. If you remember to do that through out the day, you will be doing isometric core strengthening all day long! Enjoy.

I have been a chiropractor for since 1996 but an athlete since I played baseball with the boys in the early pee wee leagues. I continued with sports throughout my high school career: softball, basketball, skiing and competitive horseback riding.
