16/4/2021 0 Comments Cat’s Claw?Cats claw is a plant indigenous to the Amazon rain forest and other tropical areas of South America. The use of cats claw for for medicinal purposes dates back at least as far as the Inca civilization, where it was used as an anti-inflammatory, to fight viral infections and to stimulate the immune system. Cats claw remains a sacred plant among several indigenous Peruvian and Amazonian tribes and modern scientific research has confirmed the antiviral, antioxidant, immune modulating effects of this plant as well as its ability to support a healthy inflammatory response. Cats claw preparations are made from the plants root and the vine bark, which are crushed and made into tea into and other extracts.
We use cats claw in the office in our muscle ache relieving gel as an anti-inflammatory as well as carrying an oral form of cats claw which is a supplement that will help to decrease inflammation, increase your immune system, and fight viral infections. In our cats claw supplemental product there is added monolaurin , vitamin D3, and lemon balm which will add a punch to your immune system while providing a powerful antiviral and antibacterial agent to help keep you healthy. Monolaurin is a powerful antiviral and antibacterial agent with efficacy across an impressive array of harmful organisms and viruses, yeast, and fungi. Unlike conventional antibiotics, it has not been shown to result in anti-bacterial resistance, nor to have adverse effects on beneficial gut flora. Humans metabolize small amounts of monolaurin from the lauric acid such as found in coconut oil and butter but the amount is believed to be relatively low. Lauric acid itself has antiviral and antibacterial properties but monolaurin is more potent, and in order to achieve the desired outcome with regard to supporting the immune function, it might be necessary to supplement with higher amounts that would be obtained from reasonable consumption of coconut products in the diet. Of course D3 is added which we know supports the immune system, but another impressive addition is lemon balm extract. Lemon balm extract contains oils that have antibacterial and antiviral properties. It also helps promote mental calm by encouraging the action of GABA, the brains primary inhibitory neurotransmitter. Going to the role of the sympathetic nervous system which is the fight or flight instinct in influencing immune function, the common effects of lemon balm are a helpful complement so it’s immune functions. Our office carries liposomal cats claw from Designs For Health and provides a unique blend of cats claw, monolaurin, vitamin D3 and other ingredients formulated with liposomal technology. Liposomes are spheres made of phospholipids the primary building blocks of cell membranes. Owning to this structure, liposomes bond easily with cell membranes to facilitate intracellular delivery of their nutrient cargo.
